These charming Quatrefoil Caviar silver drop earrings are part of a range that I have named ‘Caviar’ as the silver pearls gleam like juicy caviar grains.
These particular studs are in the shape of a four-leaf clover or ‘quatrefoil’ , which stands for ‘Four Leaves’ in Latin. It is a symbol of good luck, good fortune and prosperity.
The concept behind Caviar is to create a new beautiful and covetable piece of jewellery from the dust and off-cuts of silver that I carefully collect from any piece that I make.

Note that each piece is freeform so completely unique. The silver pearls are never perfectly round or smooth which makes it all the more charming.

Here I have taken inspiration from a kind of earrings that was very fashionable in France in the late 19th / early 20th century, the ‘dormeuse’ earrings. Basically their fastening is very secure so that you can wear them without worrying they might come off.
