I have created them from fragments of seashells that I collected on the beach in my home region of Normandie, France.
After making detailed moulds of the shells to capture their unique striped pattern, I carefully made delicate masters of those shells using wax. Finally the masters were casted in precious metal using the ancient technique of lost wax casting. Note also how they are as beautiful on the back as the front, with a contrasting smooth texture.
These stunning statement stud earrings are part of the Rebellion collection. Rebellion takes its name from the symbolism attached to the stripes pattern, which is one of the 7 patterns found in nature. You can read all about Rebellion here.
