I have twined the natural ribbed pattern found on scallop shells to create that fabulous plissé effect.
Like a fabric that has been intricately pleated and shaped into a sculptural majestic bow adorning your hand.
The Mademoiselle cocktail ring is part of Sea Breeze, a jewellery capsule collection that celebrates the summers I have spent by the sea in Normandie ever since I was born. It is one of the ranges under ‘Rebellion’, for its cool and chic nautical feel.

It is also surprisingly easy and comfortable to wear. The sea has managed to smooth out the edges into soft curves and I have intentionally created a heavy shank ring to even out the weight so that the ring sits very nicely and straight on your finger without tilting sideways.
I have called this spectacular cocktail ring ‘Mademoiselle’ for Mademoiselle (Jeanne) Lanvin the celebrated French fashion designer of the 1920s-30s and a true visionary. Her style is akin to elegance and modernity with the plissé being one of her signature designs.
