Lost in Jewellery Magazine selected the Venus ring x Essemgé for The Lost Archive – Second Edition. It is a curated editorial lookbook celebrating archived and unreleased jewellery and the stories, memories and creative moments behind them.
The selected piece, Venus, is a sculptural sterling silver and pearl ring I originally created for my mother. It features a fragment of scallop shell that I found while beachcombing in Normandie. This is the place where my family comes from and where generations of us have spent their summers.
Venus is an early expression of ideas that would later develop through my Sea Breeze collection: transforming found objects while retaining their history, balancing organic forms with architectural structure, and exploring how jewellery can carry connections to people, place and identity.
The piece is featured in The Lost Archive – Second Edition alongside the work of an international selection of jewellery artists. The digital editorial lookbook forms part of Lost in Jewellery Magazine’s permanent archive.
