Modernist Square Necklace
What
This Modernist Square Necklace is part of the Limited Editions collection.
It is truly is a one-of-a-kind neckpiece. I have used antique weathered square roofing plates and velvet.
I wanted to showcase the beauty of the weathered plates and their gentle curves.
These squares have age and history, and what better way to celebrate that than make them centre stage in this design?
Hence the use of a contrasting wide bright red velvet ribbon for a luxurious feel.
Who for
For art lovers, trailblazers and fans of the mid century modern aesthetics.
This necklace has strong graphic lines directly inspired by the modernist Bauhaus movement.
Visually very impactful and strong, this neckpiece oozes confidence and sophistication.
How to wear it
Ideal for those special occasions. You will look truly unique and absolutely fabulous.
Wear it with a high neck top or a low neckline, and you will look unforgettable.
What you will also love about this modernist square necklace is that you can fastened it to exactly where it feels the most comfortable.
I have kept it choker length on purpose, but you have enough ribbon to play and secure the necklace by a magnificent bow at the back!
Materials & their benefits
antique weathered galvanised steel, red velvet
Size
choker length – 40 to 45cm.
Note that this neckpiece has a nice weight to it.
Care
Dos
As with any piece of jewellery, when you don’t wear it, keep it in a padded box or a soft fabric pouch, ideally separate from your other jewellery to avoid scratches.
To clean it yourself, we recommend that after every wear and before storing it, you wipe each square with a soft dry clean cloth or tissue, trying to avoid the ribbon.
Donts
Do not soak or use water / liquid on it as it will damage the ribbon fabric.
Do not scrub or rub as this will affect the surface of the metal.
Avoid putting makeup and other beauty products after putting your jewellery on, as residues will build up in the little recesses and stain the ribbon, making it more difficult to clean. Best putting your jewellery on last.
