Silver provides a steadying influence. It performs a balancing act by drawing negativity from the body while transferring the positive energies of other minerals.

Oxidised sterling silver (dark finish): the colour will not come off on your skin, clothes etc. However please note that each item is made by hand and oxidation cannot give 100% identical results each time, which adds charm and character to the piece.

Dos

As with any piece of jewellery, when you don’t wear it, keep it in a padded box or a soft fabric pouch, ideally separate from your other jewellery to avoid scratches.

Safe to clean at home yourself – simply wash it with lukewarm water and mild soap. Leave to soak a couple of minutes or overnight if really dirty. The dirt will fall off at the bottom of the container. Rinse under clear warm water. Pat dry with a soft clean cloth and leave to dry completely before wearing again.

Donts

Do not scrub or rub as this will affect the surface of the metal, and in the case of oxidised silver, rubbing will take the dark grey layer off and reveal the shiny silver underneath.

Avoid putting makeup and other beauty products after putting your jewellery on, as residues will build up in the little recesses, making it more difficult to clean. Best putting your jewellery on last.
